Paige Bueckers wasn’t the only player drafted by the Dallas Wings on Monday night.

Dallas went into the 2025 WNBA draft with five selections, kicking things off with Bueckers at No. 1 overall. Who else did the Wings select with their draft picks?

No. 12 overall: North Carolina State guard Aziaha James

Dallas used its second first-round pick on another guard, taking North Carolina State’s Aziaha James. James, a 5-10 guard, spent four seasons at NC State, showing consistent improvement throughout her collegiate career.

James averaged 17.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists during the 2024-25 season. According to ESPN, James’ creative driving and finishing could fit well with the Wings’ up tempo style.

No. 14 overall: Ole Miss guard/forward Madison Scott

The Wings got out to a quick start in the second round, taking Scott with the 14th overall pick. Throughout her time at Ole Miss, Scott became a standout defender. She averaged 11.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, one steal and 0.9 blocks in her final collegiate season.

According to ESPN, Scott fills a need in Dallas as a wing defender with the ability to guard multiple positions.
